THE (OLD) ROGUES GALLERY

A recent meeting with a few ex-members of the Club made me think that an "old" rogues gallery could be useful. Some of these are current members but others may not have been in the Club for a while and may in fact have passed on to the great white cave in the sky but they should not be forgotten.  The page will grow as and when I can find photos (and the time to post them here).

Tom Fowden Todge (Alan Burgess)
Tom Fowden was an honorary member for all his work at Alderley Edge as the Wizard and for looking after the museum.  He died in 2000. Todge (Alan Burgess) is still very much with us and is an Honorary Life Member.  He was in at the very start of the DCC. Granville Shillito who was one time secretary and then honorary life member of the Club.  He was known for his fabulous story telling.  He died in 2010.
Phil Boardman and Alan Gamble John New at Monyash.  Still close to the Club but not a member for some years. Stan Gee at a Stockport carnival in 1972.  He died ten years later
Bert and Nisha Lewis at Poynton Folk Club Jid Jordan Len Airey who was involved in some of the early Apuan Alp expeditions
Ben, who likes to get underground when he can
Ben has gone to meet his maker after trips down Wood Mine, Engine Vein, mines in Derbyshire and even an Irish cave. Ollie who lives with Bill in mid-Wales Bill who lives with Ollie in mid-Wales
 
Bryan was a regular member in the 1970s Harry, ex Orpheus and DCC, a retired caver who fancies drinking mud from a glass in preference to direct from a sump
