Wood Mine reopened

1969

At Alderley Edge… Opening ceremony at the entrance

The "sewer" entrance to Wood Mine was reopened and the manhole entrance formed. The initial entry was made in 1969 and the formal entry with full National Trust permission was made in 1970 when the photograph was taken.
