Wales Weekend is a two day event with trips into two mines. Saturday 8th is a trip into Cwmorthin through to Gloddfa Ganol, also exploring some of the old workings in Oakley.Sunday 9th a trip into Aberllyn mixed metal mine, this trip can be both SRT or an in/out trip via adit no. 3, the mine covers 7 floors of which 6 are accessible.Cwmorthin trip requires old clothes boots or wellies and a packed lunch, Aberlynn requires the same or caving suit, full SRT kit if wishing to do the SRT trip.Please note that rope and rigging will have to be done by yourself as I personally won't be doing the SRT trip, pitch 1 30 metre rope with 2 rebelay, pitch 2 is 50 metres or double if rigging a pull through, pitch 2 is a straight drop with no rebelay's.
