Wood Mine adit reopened and Hough Level cleared to Engine Vein

At Alderley Edge…

The decision was taken to reconstruct the Wood Mine adit entrance so that visitors could walk into the mine without climbing a ladder. In the same period, the railway was extended from the Hough Level entrance below Stormy Point to Engine Vein making through trips possible from Wood Mine to the Edge.
